Craig Barlow

Craig Barlow is a full-time Special Education teacher who rides in his spare time. He has lived in Ottawa, Ontario since August 2002 and is married. He rides for pure enjoyment, to compete against himself, to push his limits and set high goals for himself. He has been riding seriously since 2000.
His goal for the 2007 race season are to break into the top ten positions in two 24 hr races – Summer Solstice and Hot August Nights, which he will be racing in the solo category. At last years' Summer Solstice Race he ranked 12th out of 44 solo riders.
Craig started the season off competing in the Uxbridge Icebreaker race on April 1st, which he finished 9th riding single speed, out of 22 geared riders in his class. Shortly after finishing the race he was treated for hypothermia due to competing in wet, cold and muddy conditions. Just recently he had another top ten finish at the Opus 8Hr Race, placing 9th out of 44 riders, completing 133.9km in just over 8 hours, again riding single speed.
