Wore the pack across Costa Rica to a second place finish in the Coast to Coast. 101 hours and 18 minutes. I trekked in it, kayaked in it, biked with it, used it as a pillow, hung from a barbed wire fence in it (slight tear in the pocket mesh), swam across the somewhat crocodile infested Pacuare River in it and I even sat on it in the Turrialba Volcano crater when we were trying to sleep but the ground was too hot to sit on.
Here's a shot of me rappelling in it in the mountains outside San Jose.
It still looks pretty good but it doesn't smell very good. My M&M's melted in the mesh pocket in the volcano.
The best feature was the side mesh pockets. Easy to access the food and stow odds and ends. I was impressed with the strength of the mesh while hanging from the fence. It held out until my team mates could push me up the overhang high enough to unhook. That was nice. The small mesh pocket on the front was excellent as well. I had a little problem with the hip belt curling and chafing but I think anything will chafe if you wear it for 100 hours.
